Little Soldier: I had a vision of the future we are headed towards with the prisons filling up with younger children. Here sits a young boy who's been forced to grow up too fast, and has aged way beyond his eight years. He doesn't understand what has happened to him. The dove shows only a glimmer of hope shining down on him, trying to reach him, and he can barely see it.

Jenna Six: The noose has been a hot topic for some time because of the hatred it symbolizes. The incidents in Jenna inspired this piece because I saw the injustices and prejudices fuel a movement. What the six kids did was wrong, but it did not justify what happened to them. The scissors represent the six youth. The cuts in the rope are from the power behind the scissors, cutting away at the hatred the rope symbolizes and severing its binding power
